I have been getting more into using strobes for most of the shooting I’ve been doing. This particular image I used a 430EX II Speedlight attached to camera via Canon Off-camera shoe cord. The flash was mounted on a Voice Activated Light stand (Cauy) just to camera left. I tend to not shoot in ETTL modes as I feel I want to be in control over the light and I’m really kind of dumb when it come to ETTL. For this image I stepped outside of my 70-200mm comfort zone and shot as wide as I guess I could with the equipment I have. Image is also cropped in camera and not in post (Lightroom 3). My biggest and really only complaint about this image is that it looks like Steve has only one arm.
