Rider info – Rob Palmer.
Location – Palmer’s pool Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Moving along with this whole Strobed sports subject. This is an image I shot while in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My plane had just landed in ABQ and after stopping to get a Monster and to drop my bags off at the house I found myself making my way across Albuquerque to Rob Palmer’s for his Thursday night pool session.
The lighting set up was simple. I set my Elinchrom Quadras right by the large flood lights that were use to illuminate the pool. Most the action was happening over the steps in the shallow end. This made things easy as I could step up to just light that end. The rim light was midway down the deck of the pool at full power and the key light was just to camera left at about one stop under rim light. And that was pretty much it quick and easy
I have to thank Palmer for allowing me to set up and for being such a great host.
