I had my heart set on strobing some action. This whole week I wanted to go shoot and when I got my chance I just wasn’t feeling into it. I used the old goto lighting set up. One light camera left with a 7″ reflector to tighten up the spread of the light. There was another Quadra on the deck of the quarter pipe camera right that was supposed to act as a rim or kicker light but that strobe did not fire. I look at this image and I’m really glad the strobe on the right didn’t fire. The one light sets the mood for a more dramatic shot.
My lens choice was simple I went to the security of my trusty white 70-200. It seems this lens is my goto lens when I shoot. I did however use several other lens for this shoot but the wide-angle just was looking too gimmicky with its barrel distortion. That being said this image was cropped in camera and not in post.
I hoped you have enjoyed this post and I can’t wait till I can bore you with another one.
